This is a project from my Print Production class. The goal was to create a postcard related to or representing us or our personality while learning about overprinting spot color and duotone images. I chose the phrase “Embrace the Weird” because it is a phrase I have always loved, and it seemed to fit my odd obsession with pineapples. The top of the pineapple is a photograph I took that was then turned into a duotone, and the body of the pineapple is vectorized lettering that I created in Adobe Fresco. Along with creating the image and artwork for the front of the card, I created a pineapple pattern on the back of the postcard. Because of postal service guidelines, the pattern on the back is a 7% tint of the spot colors used.
